An End In Sight

An End In Sight

A Poem by Kenneth The Poet
"

I had hope when I wrote this, but that hasn't come to pass.

"
Into the ground, the vessel committed
A life now safe, the name acquitted

He opened his eyes to the Light of Divinity
He is now cradled in the Arms of Serenity

The parents are glad that he didn't have to see
A world of full of hatred, a sorrowful menagerie

He didn't have to live through any kind of catastrophe
Be it natural, or created by the likes of you and me

The man in the picture wondered if he was the cause
Causing untold grief for both, a trial without pause

But this is the nature of sin, bounding a father up in grief
Causing him to embrace evil and wander vacant sans relief

A man of Italian extraction, a representative here on Earth
He understands the loss and the grief, for what it's worth

So here I am now, living onward every single day
Trying to keep my happiness, staying out of grief's way

Someday soon, I'll make my way down to see him there
But for now, the pain is fresh and just too hard to bear

Whatever the future may bring, may it be simply bright
No more grief-ridden trials, there should be an end in sight

Depressive theme and so full of pain.. but very well told. You clearly pass the pain from words to the readers mind. I love the rhythm and rhyme and how it help strengthen the message, rather than to take away from it. Due to the clarity in narrative, It created vibrant lasting imagery. Great Job.. This was an enjoyable read.
