Joe Hot Shot

Joe Hot Shot

A Poem by Kenneth The Poet

Joe Hot Shot from the
East Coast caused
the good and the bad,
the bread and the bilge,
the pets and the pests
to bail from the sinking
employment vessel.

And the influx, mostly
in the minor range of age,
have to cross state lines.

And if Little Johnny
wants to crack skulls
on the football field,
he's sidelined for 180 days
because the state to the
north has a different policy
to curb open enrollment.

He learns a hard lesson,
sometimes you end up
singing an Eddie Money
song and learning from it.

No control, in other words.

When we f**k up, the waves
travel down the generation tree.
