Dots and Dashes

Dots and Dashes

A Poem by Kenneth The Poet

punching out silent
dots and dashes,
the kind only a faithful
hound can hear,
a triplet of short,
a triplet of long,
a triplet of short,

or a burst as follows:
long, short, long, short
long, long, short, long,
long, short, short,

powerful bursts raging
within, trying to escape
the shell because the
shell wants it to escape,

but the frequency of
ten card decks minus
their jokers, loose deuces,
and death cards won't
work if the sender
has no receiver,

so a new triplet
is chosen, a hex
triplet in fact,

#00FFFF with
a wavelength of
440-490 nm and
a frequency of
~680-610 THz,

because what can't
be heard can be seen,

just cold, calm trueness
and cold, calm sadness.

I enjoyed this as well. I like the restricted form and feel of this read as well as ending...xx

I don't know, I quite enjoyed it. It's so true that so many struggle in silence because they know even sending out the SOS won't save them. Not in this day in age of over stimulated ambivalence. I thought this was communicated well.
