Mood Magnet

Mood Magnet

A Poem by Kenneth The Poet

mood magnet,

leeching emotion
from the minus side
to the plus side and
unable to find the
proper balance,

the so-called
golden mean
between the
extremes,

like an elevator
that had a few
cable snap and
the emergency pins
failed to detach at
just the right moment,

like a thousand
south poles attacking
and attaching to the
last north pole ever
in existence,

freaking out at
today's youth for
not listening to
simple commands,

for being goats
instead of simple,
docile sheep,

when the environment
refuses to be controlled,
then the controller
malfunctions like an
overworked, poorly
programmed universal
serial bus port,

the blue screen
of death awaits,

the sons of anarchy
and the mayans
battle for control
within and without,

they are iron
particles attracted
by the mood magnet,

out of balance,
like a defendant
or a victim where
justice is neither
served nor delivered,

a hung jury between
the hemispheres,

let the mechanism
realign the chakras
beneath the meninges,

like a chiropractor
does with the spine,

all collinear like
Menelaus of Alexandria
would have it,

except that
the answer
is a negation
of unity,

emotion is still
being leeched
away like a
poorly-sealed
home in
wintertime,

and the mood magnet
remains for the duration

MM is definitely leeching emotional internal conflict of global proportions.
Loved the sheep & other political refs ... The phrase:out of balance,
like a defendant or a victim where justice is neither served nor delivered,
a hung jury between the hemispheres, ... is spot on ... Overall, 100% jewel.

I'm not sure if this was intended, of it it's just my mood, but I found this poem, quite comic!

They don't teach emotional intelligence, I'm afraid a lot of us are quite stupid in this regard. Provacative piece.

I had to go back and read this a couple of times--there is a lot here and a lot of emotional subtext for me--I think the mood magnet ought to meet the bus driver in the bus stop--
