Blackbird Blur

Blackbird Blur

A Poem by Kenneth The Poet

singing songs in the waiting wing,

prolonging the chance of nurturing,

time is passing, maybe snail's pace

pondering his current state of grace

and a whole belief of a god around

be it here, be it up, or be it down

feeling like the skeptic called Parker

doubts develop but they aren't darker

than any other thoughts he had before

and he hopes to not have them anymore

a broken mind returning to an even keel

to have his heart and soul become like steel

and he sings a song made out of joy

be his offspring a thriving girl or boy

seeing his spouse awaiting the stitch

in time, saving nine, barring any glitch

his mind at ease, right next to her

life flies by in a blackbird blur

singing songs in the day unit room

fighting against the thoughts of gloom

the future is what it will truly be

so take the present day filled with glee
