when i was a kid, my mother used to try to banish germs (and memories) by washing the floors and walls with ammonia, and baking our books in the oven...how's that for control issues?
control issues? Seems like there's more to it. Define that intangible and add it to the piece. Doing that will make this thing take off like a rocket. I'm guilty of talking all around my subject, I can draw analogies, create similes, craft metaphors... yet I haven't touched the core. On the rare occasions I do, all the "good stuff" magnifies and the piece hits home.
Spray and wash is good for laundry.... on poetry or writing, not so much. lol
