The orange light blinks like a twitchy tweaker's eyes and it should be full of jealousy but its not, and it creates a scenarios rivaling the angry, sour grapes from Steinbeck's time.
Will this happen in real time like it did in a computerized environment?
If so, everybody would die of laughter at how pathetic they actually are.
Is this a reality check? Your writing hits buttons, makes readers think .. well, I try. Hmmm: 'If so, everybody would ~ die of laughter at how ~ pathetic they actually are.'
grapes are awful things when they go sour...we can peel their skin off, just as if they were eyeballs, not grapes.....but inside the computer, everyone is peeled back to the core anyway and laughing at the futility of it all
