Gooey Center

Gooey Center

A Poem by Kenneth The Poet

the slime and s**t
and scum and sleaze
oozes from every pore
of every being in the
auditorium as if any
organization or
institution can be
reformed from within,
because slime and s**t
and scum and sleaze
form the gooey center,
like a corpse left in a
lye bath for days on end,
because cleaning out,
scrubbing and refilling
the core with clean material
only causes the slime, s**t
scum and sleaze to resurface
again at a later date,

it's the stain of life,
forever stuck in the
universal fabric.

“Life, like a dome of many-coloured glass,
Stains the white radiance of Eternity” —
yet it is itself part and parcel of that Eternity; for life alone can understand life.

You have a way with words. Need the politicians to take a class from you on telling the truth so we can all understand. I had to read the poem a few time for pleasure. I like the complete poem. The ending was very good. Thank you for sharing your words of wisdom.
