very thought-provoking. I think we, men and women, all fall at some point on the spectrum. However, we should be capable of both providing and nurturing in our own way.
And a man is truly just a pinball bouncing from one extreme to another in his mind, while his body sits stagnant in some dank hole and slowly turns back into dust and wood.
:) And that's me being kind to the poor misguided beast.
I have thought about this extensively
For growing up I sensed my mother preferred a boy
It is not easy for either gender
The extremes are shifting
The roles are becoming extreme
For the shell one is born with may be strong in either body mind heart or spirit
and that will be the definition of a human - stripped from its gender specific roles
Good questions and the answers are what we do and accomplish. I learn to make time for family. I put my desire aside. A wise man uses his time to his benefit his family. Not his wealth. I like the ending. Thank you for the excellent poem.
