More Than The World

More Than The World

A Poem by Kenneth The Poet

hush little baby, don't you cry,
you're so precious in his eye

and in your mother's too
so don't feel ever so blue,
that is your daddy's job to do

to worry about the bills
that must be paid,
to fret about this
living hand grenade

pushing himself to the
edge and over
just so you live out
your life, your cosmic
four-leaf clover

you're a miracle of modernity
born from broken maternity
and he joins the fraternity
made from other paternity

and so he pens this piece
from a loving heart
and busted emotions,
because life is just a
thrashing ocean

welcome to it all, little girl

they both love you more than the world

I do believe this is a Daddy-love poem, not the Daddy sinister that the women write, yay!

the 4th stanza is lovely and I fancy it.

I admire any parent, man or woman, that stays home to take care of the child... it is the most under appreciated job. A lot of unconditional love expressed here.

hitting the tone of that emotional core.
Tough write handled with style and ease.
No worries.
