The angst of life and how it wears away the spirit

The aches a reminder of hard work
the body worn from toil , survival
A mind numb from the fultility
loneliness a sad reward for effort
The care of one becomes mundane
monotany of life deadens the spirit.

A setting of one for dining , alas
one bowl of tasteless soup doesn't sate
One constant voice to listen to
the only one to hear never to abate

The many years of solitude
a continual weight upon the soul
A fight with frayed hope in my hands
diminished reasons for never letting go

Long has been this life , many nights
absent the warmth of loving touch
To live the cold harsh reality
that fate has denied so much

The heart has sadly emptied
the soul begins to collect it's dust
Tis not the life I asked for
yet I fear destiny says I must

I felt very much like crying when I read this. I was moved and impressed by the way that you have woven the loneliness and solitude into something mournfully beautiful. It is the kind of thing that makes your heart cry out to try to lend solace to another.

What an exquisite and heart touching piece G~ I cannot pull out any stanza.. the whole thing is so beautifully written..The last two are just magnificent!
