I like this. One of my favourite (for favourite, read obsessional) subjects because of the crap we went through as kids - there were so many times that I was afraid we were all going to die any minute in Nuclear war.
The question at the end brings to bear one's beliefs - eg Karma and that.

A very creative poem using numbers and dates to.state a historical fact and tragedy. Perhaps it changed man's history and fear of extermination forever. Perhaps not???

I was worried that it might be too vague. 44-86292 was the serial of the "Enola Gay", the plane that dropped the bomb on Hiroshima. May, 18, 1945 was it's manufacture date. August, 6, 1945 was the day the "little boy" bomb was dropped. 166,000 was the estimated number of casualties.

I could have taken more time to figure it out I guess but I would have had to do a little bit of research first. I never would have known about the serial number or its manufactured date.
