Dedicated to my father who passed on to his next journey January 3, 2007

The gray day shadows mood,
Spirit saddened by his exit,
Memories flooding mind and soul,
Remembrances of his touch upon all,

Always giving of heart and time,
Thinking of others and how to help,
Duty bound by strength of spirit,
Guiding hand for so many souls,

His journey here now over,
The torch of hope passed to me,
Lifting spirit of family and friend,
I follow his footsteps upon the sands of time...
