I wrote this for a special person then... We maybe apart but she is still special!!!

Captured Spirits Together

Like the graceful strokes of an artist’s brush,

You appear beautiful to me like love across a painter’s canvas,

Your soft green eyes haunt my soul,

When I see your body, I am reminded that I love you from my heart first.

Like a violin in need of fine-tuning,

As the wind, the moon, the stars above create a delicate picture,

Strange forces of nature brought us together,

So, time can adjust our hearts for them to play soft music.

Like the pen of a poet’s writing,

The words that play create my visions of you,

Poets create a masterpiece,

With you God created a beautiful angel.

Like a Broadway play,

From the raising of the curtains to the closing of the show and the dimming of the lights,

Your performance, your beauty, your soul has captured my heart,

Like fine art we are captured spirits together….

This is one of my favorite love poems that I've read of yours becuz you've made good use of analogy & imagery & imagination. I have to admit, sometimes your love poems address the mundane aspects of togetherness, which I'm sure feels thrilling to you, but it doesn't always come across as that way to me, when I'm reading about it. This love poem, on the other hand, really does feel lofty & floating into a higher realm of experience, not so much the more mundane aspects of being physically attracted and smitten. It isn't that any of your more mundane love poems are not enjoyable -- it's just that you've been read-requesting me to a rather extreme degree, so I'm reading a lot of the same type of poem over & over -- that's when the "ho-hum!" aspect really becomes evident. Maybe I didn't warn you that I'm not a fan of the millions of typical love poems posted here quite a bit. A love poem has to be memorable, or it just goes into my scrap heap of forgettable expressions! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
