I had a childhood without you, without us,

No one to share a room with, no one there,

When I was in trouble or needed help - I was alone,

There was no best friend to look out for me.

We were apart, but you were who I looked up to,

The person I tried to emulate as a teenager,

All I wanted was someone I could laugh with,

Someone who could be my protector and have my back.

We may have missed out on all of those moments as kids,

But I am glad to have gotten to know you now,

Even with the five year difference between us,

I am thankful that at our age we have grown closer.

I always wanted to know the man who you became - who you are,

Even without a childhood together, you were always a part of my heart,

I am sorry that it took so long to get to know you - but I am here now,

If I could go back in time, it would be to grow up together as brothers....

Love this I sometimes watch shows on tv usually about siblings separated or parents reunited I can see you two have a lot of catching up to do enjoy glad u found each other at last
