Stillness of Night, Stillness of HeartA Poem by Botania. The sounds of summer fill the yard: familiar sounds long since loved, contemplative munching on dewy greenness. What are they saying? Of what do the creatures of the night sing? Are they like humans who choose to speak of the weather? Beep, beep, chirp, yes it was hot today? But even recanting the weather that long would get weary! Their song is so long! very hot, very hot, yes very hot. Would they not have something else to say? This leaf tastes great! Come try this tree perhaps. Or do they sing with abandon for their mate, for their love? Do they not try to impress themselves each night? Sense must reign even in a bug's brain!
