Steal This Poem

A Poem by Joseph LaBarge

regurgitate something fresh

101 ways to be creative

a road map to individuality

wrack the brain

and say something clever

read a book on witty conversation

follow the instruction manual

the poetic formula

a/b

a/b

b/a

most of this isn’t mine

as if thoughts

feelings

poetry

could be owned

tune in Tokyo

all you get is static

if necessity is the mother of all inventions

give her the patent

society

the back drop

of

siv O’Lies zation

how many people have said the same thing

the same way

at the same time

news flash

news line

yesterdays grocery list makes tomorrows poem

Milk

Eggs

Lamb

and

north korea drops a mushroom on an unsuspecting omelet

hold that thought

stick

stalk

stock

whatever you need

steal this poem

call it your own

universal unconscious

Reword

Rewrite

Rename

And give me my *#@!!&^ing  royalaties.

I am a lapsed anarchist with a Dadaist sense of humor. I am horrible with punctuation, grammar, and spelling. I do not believe in form or reasonableness. My writing tends to contain contradictions and.. more..
