between one season and another

"

There is a strange lightness in a mid May breeze

Spring and summer play touch and tease

A tiara of fresh flowers

A picnic can last for hours 

 

There is a special dawn chorus this time of year

Birds having their homecoming party

Whole and hearty 

A welcomed snooze 

Goodbye to the winter blues 

 

A frigid curse in the shade

A fiery spell under the sun

Spring arbitrates the torrid divorce 

Between winter and summer… of course
