I am shade less than

what I once was.

My light's almost out

and I think its because
I let myself shine

too brightly for you.

Its so sad, men with greatness

rarely know what to do.

And now, here I am,

faded and alone,

cused tp recall a time

when my greatest love shone

into eyes that were dull,

onto lips that weren't kind,

Through a heart that could never know

the secrets of mine.
