An Ode

I found something tonight

that almost made me cry,

I was so happy.

But tears are too confusting

So I didn't let them come.

 

Tonight, I found the husband

of any word I wish to say.

Tonight I want his words

to come an lie down were I lay.

I've never talked of marriage

in such an easy way

but I want his words inside of me

and I want them all to stay.

Perhaps it the state of mind I often find myself in, but I can't help but to think this is tinged with a bit of inuendo. Nicely chosen analogy, if indeed you were transforming a physical pleasure into a cerebral pleasure. And the metaphor of husband to your word...well, I like your mind is at. I mean, it's a pretty clever twist, and overall, I like the message you've delivered-which I would surmise is learning (not the word I'm looking for; the word I want escapes me at the moment, but I think you may understand).
