Light This Candle

Light a candle for them ,

See the flame flicker in the dark ,

Taste the smoke in the back of my throat,

I choke...

Break free of the sadness ,

With a little light ,

I can see more clearly ,

Set fire to the dark and make it something more...

In the darkness something swoops by ,

It feels cold ,

Maybe it's an angel ,

Come to take the pain away...
