I was scared

I broke your heart

Two weeks later

A new relationship starts

I thought he was the guy

meant for only me

But then he met her

And I learned that he could never be 

The one I thought he was

The guy every girl wants

I was horribly wrong

It's a memory that haunts

My every waking moment

He was a horrible guy

But you were always there

You helped me through the lies

The lies he thought would fool me

He really thought they'd work

I thought he was sweet

But no, he's just a jerk

He left me feeling bad

I hated my best friend

But you were there to help me

It turned out okay in the end

but then I took a chance

I decided to be brave

I wanted you back

 but I wanted to wait

For just a few weeks

Until i was okay

But you didn't like the wait 

So you went another way

She then turned you down

We were both alone

Again we drifted apart

And i was on my own

Another guy came along

I gave him a chance

But he wasn't the right one

Your love had me in a trance

A trance i could not break

No matter how hard I tried

I wanted you back

But those chances had already died

Now here I am

A solitary one

I feel my love-life ending

When it had barely just begun

When will I get over it? 

When will my trust be restored?

Will I ever find love?

Or will I always feel ignored?

Because of you I lost my trust

Because of you I am in pain

Because of you I second-guess

I think i'm going insane

And now I hide from those who love me

I second-guess the people that i once knew
