If Only

life becomes painful when the term "IF" attaches itself to almost every aspect of your existence

If only you had considered my love as true

I am rest assured it would have seen us through.

If only you could realise that without you i am undone

Left by myself all i can wish for is my nemesis to come.

If only you had made a little effort that was required on your part

I would have given up my all just to give us a brand new start.

If only you could see me groaning in pain

You wouldn't have let my efforts go in vain.

If only you had a cure for my broken heart

i could start gathering the shattered pieces , part by part ...

I think the only cure for a broken heart is the soothing truths of the ones that do love you in a way you may not see. It is sad when someone takes your heart and sqeezes it with lies, when the truth has always been sufficent. I hope you and your nemesis find the peace and love you desire! yes if only you could..this reminded me of me a lot...we often do this put the blame expectation on others...the only solution is to inverse the arrow on oneself...no matter how much we love a person the broken pieces can only be glued back by you yourself not anyone else.

I often wonder.. if only that one person really knew what I was like, what I was thinking.. Or if I hadn't missed that one golden opportunity, the one that could've changed my life forever.. who would I be? Where would I be?

So often is there an occasion that we fail to rise too, and we never know who we're affecting or where it could have taken us.
