Rendezvous

for the special relationship between the biker and the tarmac ~

As the rain splatters against the window
and the leaves rustle in the wind
a guy wakes up from his dreams
only to realize that it’s time for some zing.

Searching for the keys is the first thing he does
cause the rain is coming down with gusto
encircled by dark clouds, he punts on the slippery paths
the highway is his fiefdom, not a bitter foe.

Searching amidst the pulchritude surroundings for a new route
like a falcon he spreads his wings letting the air gush through.

As the sun comes up on the horizon
the free bird gives way to the dutiful son
another stormy day he awaits

for some dusty roads remain, yet to be won!
