Some of Life's Most Painful Ironies

Some of Life's Most Painful Ironies

A Poem by Greeshma Y

Some of Life's Most Painful Ironies
Countless adventures and the most beautiful of sights
The feeling of emptiness at the end of the night

All the material things that one could ever hope to have
A lonesome life with no one to make you laugh

Millions of strangers who envy your life
The scars that have yet to fade from the knife

More money than one can ever hope to find
The silent and invisible battles fought in the mind
