Define BoredomA Poem by I Cast a ShadowI wrote this the Summer after my Sophomore year of high school while waiting for a shift to end at work.Nothing is happening Nothing has happened Nothing will happen. . . Sitting; I wait for it. Alert; I am hopeful. I cannot wait for long For this is much to bare. Time passes Within a rusted wearily around Within a rusted frame baring An ugly and endless face. Inside my mind a creature Lurches forward and forces My head down as its Strong grasp pulls my Eyelids shut! The creature has become unintentionally plagued By blunt inactivity Agonizing emptiness Full of nothing but unused time Repelled by the void Lights flicker away Leaving nothing. . . nothing . . . . © 2011 I Cast a ShadowReviews
