One of Those Days

It's been another one of those days

When you can't help but feel

As though things would have turned out better

If you'd just stayed in your bed

Everything that could possibly go wrong

Seems to be happening to you

It started when your alarm failed to ring

And it got worse from there

You got into a fight with your best friend

You broke up with your boyfriend via a text message

You just found out you won't graduate on time

And someone spilled coffee in your locker

When you finally get home

You collapse onto your bed in tears

You think to yourself

I'm never going back to school

Tomorrow may not be much better than today
But remember that things can't always be this way

And once you've hit the bottom

There's nowhere else to go but up
