Summer Times

Summer Times

A Poem by Haley Lynn Thomas

Summer times come to an end

Too soon I'm counting down the days

Until I'm headed back to school

Summer romances are nice while they last

But you know what they say

They never last long

Summer time is a magical season

People fall without a reason

There's something sweet in the air

Summer romances are like fireworks

They're beautiful and electric

But the show always ends far too soon

You and I will probably break up in the fall

But I won't forget the things we shared

And summer time will always be our season
