Daddy's Little Girl

Daddy's Little Girl

A Poem by Haley Lynn Thomas
"

I love you Dad! <3

"

Now that you're older

You think that you don't need

Your Daddy anymore

You're embarrassed when

He kisses you goodbye

In front of all of your friends

Now when you call

It's always to ask for cash

Never just to say "I love you"

You don't call him Daddy anymore

You're too old for that

But what you don't realize is

To him you're still a kid

To him you'll never be too old

To him you're still Daddy's little girl

And it's okay

To hold his hand

And not want to let go

And it's alright

To call him just to say

"I love you"

Don't be ashamed because

The one thing you'll never outgrow

Is your Daddy
