Little Miss Perfect

Little Miss Perfect

A Poem by Haley Lynn Thomas

Let me guess, you're having a bad day

You didn't drink your coffe this morning

And now nothing's going your way

And so you decide to take it out of me

I mean, it only seems fair

After all, i'm so deserving of your attitude

Allow me to apologize for being human

I guess Little Miss Perfect never makes mistakes

I don't mean to sound mean

But you're acting a little rude

Is that the way you talk to everyone?

Honey, you're really not all that special

So I'm so sorry I tripped up

It's not like you ever do

You're too busy acting like a queen

You ever mess up like me

Do I sound a little bitter?

Well maybe I kind of am

Please, go take your attitude somewhere else

Because you don't want to deal with mine
