I'm Sorry

I'm Sorry

A Poem by Haley Lynn Thomas

Three years all gone down the drain

I've really screwed up this time

You won't take my calls

And you won't return any of my texts

How am I supposed to apologize?

When you won't even talk to me right now

How am I supposed to explain?

When you don't want to hear what I have to say

I don't know what I was thinking

I knew what I was doing was wrong

He doesn't mean anything to me

But you mean everything to me

I'm miserable without you

I've never hated myself so much
I know I don't deserve your forgiveness

But I hope our love can overcome this

Please, I'm begging you to listen

Allow me to apologize

I'll get down and kiss your feet

I'll do whatever it takes

You're the one I want to be with

You're the only one I've ever truly loved

We've been together for three years

Do you really want to throw it all away?
