Don't Care

Don't Care

A Poem by Haley Lynn Thomas
"

Something I was thinking about last weekend.

"

Do you really hate me so much

That you can't even look me in the eyes?
Are you really so repulsed by me

That you can't even shake my hand?

Do you really even care

How sad that makes me feel?
Do you really even know

How my heartbreaks every time

Did you really think that we could

Still be friends after what we went through?

Did you really imagine that things

Would go back to the way they'd been before?

I really don't hate you that much

I really don't hate you at all

And it really breaks my heart every time

You come so close just to turn away

Yes, you really hate me so much

Yes, I really repulse you so much

So much that you can't even shake my hand

So much that you don't care
