Spoken

Spoken

A Poem by Haley Lynn Thomas

Last night I was dreaming

And you were in it

And we were fighting

About something stupid

About how you don't like Twilight

And it was funny

Because we haven't spoken in years

And it was like going back in time

When I screamed at you

Hoping to evoke some kind of emotion

And it was sad

Because I really loved you

And it made me realize

I still really love you

But I'll never have you back

Last night I was dreaming

And it was about you

And we were fighting

And the whole time I was thinking

About how much I hate this

And when I woke up

I wished it wasn't a dream

Because I miss fighting with you

Because at least when we were fighting

We were speaking

We haven't spoken in years

I think it might be better to alter the last verse a little...Just MY opinion....I am uncomfortable with the line...I wished it wasn't a dream...I think it would have more punch if you said 'And THEN I woke up.....I miss fighting with you...etc....Just a thought..great poem otherwise in my humble opinion
