Cry on My Shoulder

Cry on My Shoulder

A Poem by Haley Lynn Thomas

We learn early on

That men are supposed to be strong

They know never to cry

Even when they're hurting

They just bottle it up inside

Because they're supposed to be tough

And never show any weaknesses

And never accept any help

But Baby you don't have to be like that

There's no reason to hide

It's okay, you can cry on my shoulder

That's what it's there for

You're the strongest man I know

I'm so incredibly proud of you

Don't listen to them judging you
They don't know you the way I do

You learned early on

That you're supposed to be strong

But it's alright to cry on my shoulder, Baby

That's what I'm here for

Real love is when two people become one in good times and in bad times. A very good message in the poem. Everyone need someone shoulder for support and hope. Thank you for the excellent poetry.
