1. Think of You, Think of Me

1. Think of You, Think of Me

A Chapter by Haley Lynn Thomas
"

I love you, you hate me...

"

There are days I still think of you

Do you think of me too?

I really hope you do

Although somehow I doubt it

My heart still stops beating

When I hear someone call out your name

Do you ever stop and listen

When you heart them say my name?

My stomach drops when I see you

I can't breathe when I'm near you

It's almost like I'm fifteen again

Like we're breaking up all over again

I try to catch your eye

But you're too busy laughing

I guess you've moved on from me since then

And forgotten all that we never had

There are still days I think of you

In fact I do almost every day

Even though I know it's not healthy

I pour over every single mistake

There is still a part of me

That hopes you still think of me

Although if you do it's probably not fondly

You'd rather forget me all together

Because I never meant half as much to you

As you still mean to me

But no matter what you do to hurt me

I'll never forget about all that we never had

Author's Note

Haley Lynn Thomas
You don't stop caring for and loving someone just because you want to. This poem describes how awkward and heartbreaking it is to see a person who was once a part of your life but is no longer. It's about the realization that he meant so much to you and that he never loved you the way that you loved him.

I think its a great piece. I too thought I was there once. A war against our selfs we fight and it will only end when we are ready. I had those thoughts at one point, hated it my self for all the the mistakes that I made. it turned out that for the most part I was wrong. She did still think and loved me. GREAT WORK
