3. South

3. South

A Chapter by Haley Lynn Thomas
"

I watched it fall apart.

"

Even though it's over now

Our relationship has gone south

I hope we can still be friends

Because you know I'd never admit it

But I still want you in my life

After all we've been through

All the mistakes we've both made

Neither of us is willing to apologize

Because we both believe that we were right

But one of us must make the first move

Can't you see how it's hurting me?

I can't even remember the last time we spoke

But it feels like so very long ago

When did your voice get so deep?

How many memories have I missed?

Even though it's over now

Our relationship has flown south

I hope one day we can be friends

Because you know I'd never admit it

But I still need you in my life
