10. Supposed to Be, Meant to Be

10. Supposed to Be, Meant to Be

A Chapter by Haley Lynn Thomas
"

I still kick myself for losing you.

"

He haunts me in my dreams

He permeates my thoughts

I can't get over him

And all the broken dreams

What if he was supposed to be?

What if we were meant to be?

What if I wrecked my only chance

At finding a love like this?

What if it never comes again?

What if it's one and done?

What if it's too late and I'm doomed

To spend my life alone?

What if he was supposed to be

The one that I married?

What if we were meant to be

But I ruined us?

I don't have the answers

And neither do you

But you still permeate my thoughts

And you still haunt me in my dreams

Author's Note

Haley Lynn Thomas
This is a poem of me sort of beating myself up for past mistakes. It's a feeling that hits me every now and then.
