I remember the feeling.

I don’t know what it is about you

But I’m mesmerized by your brown eyes

You make me want to dance and sing

And I say I think I might be falling in love

My mind is telling me to slow down

I lose all coherent thoughts when I'm around you

I’m feeling twenty two emotions at once

I don’t know what it is about you

All my doubts about you and us are forgotten

All this uncertainly can come to an end

Author's Note

A very old poem, this was where it all began. I wrote this when he and I were still friends and I was beginning to develop a crush on him. Sometimes reading this makes me sad because it's like everything I imagined just died. I was so young and naive when I wrote this, still hopeful, and then reality hit me like a brick to the face.
