15. Game

15. Game

A Chapter by Haley Lynn Thomas
"

I win.

"

Let me put this in a way you'll understand

Although I'm not really sure if I can

I tried to be polite but I'm done with that now

Two can play this game but only one can win

You treat me like I'm a nobody

But I'm more of a somebody than you'll ever be

It's funny how you think you're above me

Tell me, where did you go to school?

Those exasperated sighs are so dramatic

I could really do without your attitude

How about you show me some respect?

Look me in the eyes while you stab me in the back

Let me put this in a way you'll understand

I can be as sweet as cotton candy

But cross me and you'll regret it forever

Remember, you can't play the game if you don't know the rules

Author's Note

Haley Lynn Thomas
This is about someone who I was very nice to but who still doesn't seem to like him...at all. I eventually got really frustrated and angry. I'll admit, it upsets me when people don't like me, especially when it's for no good reason, when I've done nothing to deserve their attitude. I like to think I'm a sweet, loyal person, but when you stab me in the back then I can be more mean.
