19. A Girl I Knew in High SchoolA Chapter by Haley Lynn ThomasKarma's a b***h.I knew this girl in high school Who said she had life figured out She had a plan laid out Of how things were going to go
She was going to marry money And never work a day in her life She was going to be a trophy wife And hire nannies to take care of her children
She'd spend her days shopping And summers lounging on her yacht She'd have enough shoes to fill the mansion Where she was going to live
Well, I ran into her the other day She had a baby in her arms And another one on the way And when she saw me she started to cry
She said life isn't what I thought I'm living on the streets With no one to take care of me And I can't even afford one pair of shoes
