19. A Girl I Knew in High School

19. A Girl I Knew in High School

A Chapter by Haley Lynn Thomas
"

Karma's a b***h.

"

I knew this girl in high school

Who said she had life figured out

She had a plan laid out

Of how things were going to go

She was going to marry money

And never work a day in her life

She was going to be a trophy wife

And hire nannies to take care of her children

She'd spend her days shopping

And summers lounging on her yacht

She'd have enough shoes to fill the mansion

Where she was going to live

Well, I ran into her the other day

She had a baby in her arms

And another one on the way

And when she saw me she started to cry

She said life isn't what I thought

I'm living on the streets

With no one to take care of me

And I can't even afford one pair of shoes

Author's Note

Haley Lynn Thomas
This one could be about a lot of my bullies (the list goes on and on) but I had a particular one in mind. I have not seen her since graduation, but this is sort of how I imagined a lot of their lives going. These girls were so obsessed with being pretty and popular and so vain. I almost feel sorry for them.
