21. You, You, You, You, You

21. You, You, You, You, You

A Chapter by Haley Lynn Thomas
"

I should have known better.

"

You thought it was funny

That a girl like me

Was interested in a boy like you

You thought you were too cool

I was just the weird girl

You were way out of my league

Your friends, they teased you

Dared you to talk to me

You don't know how happy you made me

Until I saw you laughing

Your friends were pointing at me

I guess I wasn't in on your sick joke

Well, I thought it was cruel of you

You making me look like a fool

You played me like I was a board game

Well, I think you're a loser

For acting like such a jerk

This poem is what you deserve

Author's Note

Haley Lynn Thomas
This poem is not one of my best, but it is about a boy who I had a crush on in middle and high school. I was so excited when he came over to talk to me and then I overheard his friends talking. They'd dared him to talk to me! To pretend like he was interested. I'm not used to getting attention from guys, so I was very hurt when I discovered his motives.
