26. Negative Seed

26. Negative Seed

A Chapter by Haley Lynn Thomas
"

You know what you did.

"

You knew my bones were brittle

You made me feel so little

You cut me and made me bleed

You planted the first negative seed

Did you ever stop and think

How your actions pushed me to the brink?

Even now I suffer in my sleep

From your words, embedded so deep

To you it was all just play

Eagle's eyes searching for the perfect prey

A cougar pouncing on the weakling

Hanging on not by a rope but by a string

I could list off all your names

Reverse all your sadistic games

Make you see what you do to others

I shutter at the thought of you becoming mothers

I won't make you experience my pain

Instead you can chase after my train

Now I'm leaving your cruelty behind

I'm headed to a place you'll never find

Author's Note

Haley Lynn Thomas
This is a poem for all of the people who bullied me in elementary, middle, and high school. They were relentless and there were days I didn't want to go to school because of them, but I am so much stronger now.
