33. LastingA Chapter by Haley Lynn ThomasWhen love never ends. (A poem for my Uncle)A twenty year old girl Who doesn't believe in love Her Uncle set out To prove her wrong
He'd been married to her Aunt For a very long time She loved him for all of his little quirks And he loved her unconditionally
And he said to her You can't think like that You've just got to believe That someday you'll find it
She was the only one That he'd ever loved Now forty years later The passion is still there
And she said, I want what they've got But it's so hard to believe That any love can ever last Longer than maybe a month
But then she looked at them Still so happy together Oh so content with each other And she believed © 2012 Haley Lynn ThomasAuthor's Note
