35. Always Have You

35. Always Have You

A Chapter by Haley Lynn Thomas
"

No matter what.

"

Through the good times and the bad

I’ve been broken and I’ve been sad

I’ve been abandon by all of my friends

They’re not who I thought they were

But I know that I will always have you

I don’t know what tomorrow will bring

Or if it will be filled with sorrow

So if he's not here tomorrow
And if they a
re all gone tomorrow

At least I know I will still have you

When I’ve got no one else to talk to

No one is left for me to confide in

And I feel like I want to hide

Inside the shelter of your open arms

Because you’re the one thing I can always count on

The rain is pounding against my window pane

And sitting here alone is driving me insane

My room is a dark and lonely place

But even as the thunder tears my world apart

I know that you’re still going to be there

And when the sky finally clears

There will be a rainbow after the storm

And I just might find that there’s still hope left

because through all of the pain that I’m facing

I know that I will always have you

Haley Lynn Thomas
I went through a very difficult time in high school, and this is about how my mom was really my only ally. She was the one who supported me throughout it all.
