36. Be My Hero

36. Be My Hero

A Chapter by Haley Lynn Thomas
"

You are.

"

When the sun goes down tonight

And takes with it all my light

I will need someone to pull me through

And so I’m asking you,

Will you be my hero?”

When I’m knocked down off my feet

When I give into defeat

I’ve got no one else to turn to

And so I turn to you,

Will you be my hero?”

Will you hold me in your arms?

Make the stars shine bright for me?

Will you lift me off the ground?

And so I’m begging you,

Will you be my hero?”

Will you rescue me from myself?

Save me from an eternity in hell?

Will you be my sun and stars and moon?

This is what I’m asking you,

Will you be my hero, please?”

Author's Note

Haley Lynn Thomas
In high school we had a to do a project about who our hero was. A lot of people chose superheros or famous people, but I chose my Mom who is my hero. With everything she deals with, she is the definition of the word.
