48. Tuck Me In Tonight.

48. Tuck Me In Tonight.

A Chapter by Haley Lynn Thomas
"

You will.

"

I want you to hold me

This one last time

I want you to rock me

In my grandmother's rocking chair

And tuck me in tonight

And pretend everything's alright

I want you to comfort me

Wipe away my tears

I want you to love me

Keep me safe and warm

And tuck me in tonight

And pretend everything's alright

I want you to protect me

Be my shining knight

I want you to be there

When I need you most

But you won't tuck me in tonight

Because nothing is alright

Haley Lynn Thomas
A poem about vulnerability and the wish that you could be a kid again when everything was easier and better.
