52. Once Adored

52. Once Adored

A Chapter by Haley Lynn Thomas
"

Still adored.

"

Remember when I adored you

Remember when there was love

Remember when we were a family

Remember because memories are all you have

It's hard to look at you

So I try not to

You make me want to scream

You used to make me laugh

I remember who you used to be

And this isn't it

I never thought I could think of you

And feel nothing but resentment

Last night the realization hit me

That all the love and admiration I once held for you

Has vanished from my heart

Leaving in its place only memories

Author's Note

Haley Lynn Thomas
This is the same concept of the last poem. It's about someone who changes and you miss that person they used to be. I'm doing these poems in sort of a series of who they are about. If you notice similarities in these poems that's why; I write many poems about the same situation. I write what I feel when I feel it.
