73. The Only Thing That Matters

73. The Only Thing That Matters

A Chapter by Haley Lynn Thomas
"

I'm still waiting.

"

I know you're feeling pressured

From everyone around us

To put a label on us

But I'm not in a hurry
There's no reason to rush

And no reason to be stressed

We'll take things at your pace

I don't expect you to hold my hand

I won't force you into anything

Just let me know when you're ready

I'll wait as long as you'd like

Baby, I'd wait an eternity for you

I don't care about anyone else's opinion

I don't follow their time-lines

Because the only thing that matters to me is you

Author's Note

Haley Lynn Thomas
I think this poem has a sweet sentiment. I won't go into details about it because it's very personal. A lot of my poetry is personal, and a lot is fictional. I take pride in being able to write about all kinds of things and experiences, even ones I haven't experienced. I will say that this poem is about a specific person, but I won't share more because as open as I am with my writing I like to keep some details to myself.
