76. I'll Be The One

76. I'll Be The One

A Chapter by Haley Lynn Thomas
"

Let me.

"

You don’t even know that I exist

But I’m lying in my bed Some hundreds of miles away

Thinking about you

Why can’t you see that I was made for you?

I’ll be the one cheering in the quiet room

And I’ll wait for you on the sidelines

You don’t even know my name

But yours is all that I know

You live in Texas but you came here for school

It may be a coincidence but I call it fate

So don’t keep me waiting and wondering all Night

I’m losing my mind just dreaming about you

You’re in college and I’m in high school

So why would you ever go for a girl like me?

But age and grade don’t mean a thing

One day I’ll get up the nerve to say “hi” to you

Instead of just watching you from the sidelines

This is more than just some teenage crush

I Know that my feelings are real

And I’ll be waiting for you on the sidelines

I’ll stay long after everyone else has gone

So don’t keep me waiting and wondering all night

Because I’ll be the one cheering louder than the rest
