Do you ever think about her?

Ever wonder who she grew up to be?

Did you have hopes and dreams for her?

Did you love her the way that we do?

 

No words can ever hope to express

The gratitude that iIfeel towards you

For making my family complete

And for giving us the gift of a life

 

The courage that it must have taken

Is something that I cannot fully appreciate

How hard it must have been for you

To make the choice to let her go

 

Do you ever think about her?

Ever wonder who she grew up to be?

You made the ultimate sacrifice

And you gave us the gift of a life

I debated posting this poem because it has such a personal, private meaning to me, but I want to share it with you because it is one of my favorites.
